"Parking was good, check in was fine, room was clean, good size room we were in a accessible room, plenty of lights in room but did not have one on ceiling which would have helped when doing hair and makeup, good size tv, room warm good heater. Bathroom great size has shower and two sinks. Breakfast good and we had a evening meal at Hotel it was good had steak and ale pie. Have stayed at Hotel.before and will stay again. "This is a very pleasant and modern hotel in a very good location. An excellent base for seeing the city. They don't do breakfast but there are seversl cafes within minutes' walk that do. Free drinks in the comfy lounge in the late afternoon is a good offer. The main downsides are that the rooms at least the one we had - are very small at the price, although well equipped. Our shower had a life of its own and was frankly something of a danger to life and limb. The staff are friendly, charming and helpful. They were very kind to our dog who was well catered for."

"The lighting is very dark when you walk into this hotel, but the ambience is actually rather good. Bar and restaurant areas were well laid out. Food was good. Room was very clean, comfortable, and a good size. Location is great if you are passing by Edinburgh."
