“Convenient location on the main street in Burntisland. Around 5-6 minute walk from the train station. The train into the Edinburgh Waverly Station, center Edinburgh, departs every 20-25, minutes and takes around 30 minutes into Edinburgh. My room was large, with a large screen TV, Hot water kettle. No mini fridge. No elevator. My room faced the backyard so it was quiet. The window opened a little to let in fresh air.”

“The room was clean, smart tv in room, staff very helpful, there is a safe an ironing board as well as a hairdryer also plenty of parking. The only faults were the room was always warm that's with radiator turned off, the cold water tap at sink was just a trickle but hot water flowed well, the shower was hot or hotter no cold, there is a small fridge inside a cupboard at dressing table which makes the top warm and the noise from kitchen extractor fan very noisy at times we had to leave our window...

“A good place to stay, I recommend it. Easy access to airport via tram service walking distance. Room was clean, restaurants near by. 2 things that could be improved: The bathtub is very high and for a short person to climb in to have a shower is not easy and almost dangerous. The other is I had a credit card with a 5 number PIN and it did not work on their terminal, it only accepts 4 numbers PIN. My bank here informed me that the terminal must be programmed or set to accept the 5 number PIN....

“The room was clean but the shower did not work very well. The breakfasts were good but not impressed by the bar and restaurant. Food was cold and less than average quality, staff were too busy doing stuff to be able to focus on the customers. The wi-fi was non-existent not helped by poor mobile signal. Not good value for money so not likely to stay again.”

“This is a hidden gem. Yes, it is a shared bathroom, and as an American that was strange to me, but it was a private one and well maintained, with toiletries provided. My bedroom had a sink which was also useful. It's <10 minutes walking to the train station which is also nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to leave my luggage with them after checkout”

“The Abbotsford guest house was run down and in need of renovations. Did not know before I booked I would be sharing a shower and toilet with the whole floor. Very uncomfortable! There was also no breakfast available. It said it was being remodeled. I actually never saw a host on my visit. The location was good, but the lodging was poor.”
