The Blank Park Zoo is contributing to many conservation efforts in order to help animals on the brink of extinction. They work with many zoos, including our own Brookfield Zoo (which is an AZA accredited zoo) so I was happy to visit a zoo that treats their animals well.** Plenty of shade for all the animals and the indoor “forest” was pretty cool. The Big Cats area gets you really close (safely), especially the African lions. **BUT my only negative is that they charge money for camel rides. Animals should NOT be used for rides...

Went there during Night Eyes, candy was fun but limited zoo visit and didn’t get to see hardly any animals.
