5/5 - Excellent
You need to go hiking on Grandfather Mountain and visit Rocky at Blowing Rock Brewery.

If you're spending some time in Downtown Blowing Rock, Blowing Rock Memorial Park and Blowing Rock Art and History Museum are top sights worth seeing.

Everything was perfect except the restaurant that was advertised as open 7 days a week was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We did not know that until we went to eat dinner. Very disappointed that we were not told at check-in. Otherwise, we had a lovely visit.

Found a vacancy at the last minute during peak leaf season. Was very pleased with the property - very clean, gas logs were amazing. We were there only one night so didn't spend a lot of time but would definitely return. Off the Blue Ridge Parkway but very close to Blowing Rock.

Blowing Rock has many opportunities to admire the scenery and take pictures. There are many quaint shops and we loved the architecture of the buildings and homes. So many things to see in one trip. We will definitely visit again as soon as possible.
Most restaurants close at 9 p.m. Less than ten minutes away from Boone, which has lots of options.
This is a nice place to visit with outlet shopping and plenty of dining options. It is 15 - 45 minutes to all 3 winter resorts that offer skiing, ice skating and snow tubing.
It is the gateway to the rest of the mountain towns in the area, such as Boone or Banner Elk. The Green Park Inn and Blowing Rock saves us 30-ish minutes both ways, making this a great one-night destination.
Love it!
