"You can tell this was once a grand, luxurious hotel that has seen better day. It still has lovely bones but the wall paper is peeling, the bathtub in our room needed remodeling. When we walked in the building on one end (not the main lobby) you could smell cigarette smoke. The sheets on our bed were scratchy. "This is a family oriented property that is well maintained. I visit Decatur often but had never stayed at Homewood Suites. The only small complaint I have is the couch fabric was pretty dirty. Other than that, I highly recommend the property and would stay there again."

"Shower light didn't work, bathroom exhaust makes a lot of noise, one mattress the bed sunk in when sitting or laying on it, tv remote on/off button or volume buttons didn't work. Had to adjust volume or on/off on the tv itself, carpet by the bed was sticky so bare feet not recommended, ice machine on our floor did not work, hot tub was not functioning and was empty.
