Great hotel 100m from the train station and 20 minutes from the center on food, neat to all main attractions near to restaurants and bars and markets. Nice friendly staff and very safe place to stay with security all day.

Very helpful staff, great service. Nothing was too much trouble, particularly from the housekeeping staff. Nice comfortable room, only slight criticism would be that the beds were a little soft for our taste. More so on my partner's side. Good location near the train station and 15 minutes walk to Piazza Maggiore. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything is great in this hotel! The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the breakfast has lots of options. Plus, it’s so conveniently located right next to the train station, so you don’t have to lug your bags around town. It’s clear that everyone cares for hotel and its guests. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not reach inside our room. The hotel was a basic place to stay for a couple of nights and met our needs perfectly.

Very nice hotel close to the train station. The room was comfortable and so was the bed. The reason for four stars as the breakfast was a little disappointing. There was no smoked salmon for a four star hotel for breakfast.
