We stayed in 401 which is a very large private room. We lived everything about the room and the stay. The hostel is perfectly located for walking to all the old town sites. We’ll stay again.
We had a great stay in a family room. When we closed the window it was completely quiet with no noise getting in from the square. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast option was excellent. The location was perfect for walking about the beautiful city. Highly recommend.
Location location location!
I loved my stay at the Central Hostel. The staff were super nice and helpful and the location is truly central and very walkable.
I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm for the first time and the blackout blinds were a gamechanger for me. Other than a microwave there's no kitchen but there're an Aldi and Carrefour nearby which is super helpful.
The washrooms and the showers weren't the cleanest and it didn't feel like they were being cleaned daily but it's a hostel after all.
If I'd ever go back to Bordeaux, I'll definitely stay here but would book a female dorm instead.
Merciii :>
I was a bit disappointed with my stay at this hostel. The location was very good, and the room was nice with very private bunkbeds that each had its own curtain. That made you feel like you had your own little space.
However, there were no activities during my stat, and there was generally not a hostel “vibe” where you felt it was natural to speak to others. The bar-area in the reception was alright, but each person just sat by themself. For me, that was quite disappointing.
Furthermore, in the room, there were some very weird-looking dark spots in the ceiling that definitely looked like some kind of mould. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures, but it was definitely a bit concerning. Other than that, the room was clean and the bed felt very nice as well.
Amazing hostel! Cute, clean and perfectly located on StCatherine street (longest pedestrian only street!! Lots of shopping!). All the facilities were in great condition and updated. As a solo traveler it could have been a little bit more socially oriented, but that is being super picky! Would recommend!
This did not seem like a hostel. It was amazing. we had a private room. Location cannot be beat. Amazing cafe and area to hang out downstairs. super quiet. On a famous square in an old church.
Unfortunately, the hostel does not have control of its surroundings. At the time of my stay, there were some unhoused people with dogs. And at night they would bark. ( the dogs not the people )
But in no insistence did I feel unsafe. The area is very centrical and walking distance to most attraction.
Highly recommend.

location is brilliant in the centre of Bordeaux. However, i went expecting breakfast as advertised only to be told they did not serve food. They need to change their ads about the hostel. However, excellent cafe just round the corner. They also need to be more communicative about tourism, and where the tourist bureau is, as they themselves were not able to answer my questions. Staff good natured however.

The area is not safe, a lot of homeless around the hotel. Services are very limited: WiFi didn’t work, terrible smell in the lobby and bathroom, not possible to set your temperature in the room, no iron available even if you ask the front desk. The overall experience was not so good.
T'was a girls weekend in Bordeaux. We booked a private suite for four. Very comfortable, clean room. Confusion re the towels - we "rented" some per the welcome email and the room ended-up having towels. Hooks would be nice to hang them after showering, as well as water cups. Also, housekeeping was advertised. They did a partial cleaning and ended-up taking some of our souvenir cups. We fortunately got 4/6 back. Also, very much appreciated coffee and tea in the room. Overall a great stay and would return. Oh, and the location was good though there were a lot of homeless people/squatters in the square.
