Our room (as many others) had a wonderful view across the river to the golden roofed Sarawak State Assembly building and the Astana Palace and entertained us with a fabulous water fountain and light show every evening. "The mall attached isn’t the best one in the area but if you want to do sown shopping or kill time, it’s connected to the hotel. The prices are good! They have a train ride kids can do but no playground. The hotel was great. I wish it had a thicker blanket BUT that’s probably not something I would say when it’s hot. "Room’s lighting too dark, especially the bathroom."

"The buffet was okay. There is access to the pool at the Magellan Sutera as well. The staff is polite, but less attentive than what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. I wish the entertainment i.e. bowling, billiards etc. is on site. Instead, all entertainment including the jacuzzi are on the Marina Club, which is quite a walk you'd feel lazy to go to on a hot day. The water at the beach has trash. "
