โA friendly, family run inn. Very typical of old Maine style with cute wallpaper, wood floors, and old Maine charm. If you are looking for modern luxury this isnโt for you. However, if you want a lovely inn with a ton of charm and a great price on the island, then you wonโt find better than the Harbourside. The bedroom was big with a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linens. Itโs an easy walk to Northeast Harbor with excellent shopping and restaurants.โ
โWonderful stay! Cabins are brand new, comfortable, spotless, and nicely decorated. Appreciated the laundry facilities! Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations about the area. โ
โI liked the roominess of the room and the two luggage holders so no one has to crawl around on the floor to open their suitcase. The shower was safe with two handles for getting in and out of the tub. The motel is located down Main St but far enough away from all the noise and traffic. Easy to get around town. Also located close to the hospital to visit someone.โ
โWhat a great way lace. Exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy to get into town on the free bus without all the hassle of finding parking. Highly recommend. โ
โThe staff!! I hope the owners know what they have by having Christopher there! The cleaning staff stopped and said hi and asked if the room needed anything. Christopher was witty and right on with his recommendations of places to eat. The location was great, quiet but close to everything. Rooms were nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend!!โ

โThe Sand Bar Cottage is the best place to stay in Bar Harbor! Arrive, unload, and stay parked while you walk and enjoy all that Bar Harbor & Acadia has to offer. Not worrying over finding parking was the greatest perk, but the entire property was beautiful with blooming flowers and the staff were all extremely helpful and hospitable. Our cottage was absolutely perfect. โ

โWonderful stay with our family of 7. We walked or took the shuttle to town several times, used the pool and hot tub each afternoon and loved breakfast. I especially enjoyed the coffee station in the morning on the second floor. โ
โClean and conveniently located near the center of Bar Harbor. The manager, Tim, is fantastic. Very accommodating to any requests. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Itโs close to Acadia and Tim will give tips on things to do and see if you ask him. We loved our stay here! Thanks, Tim! โ
