"I rarely write reviews, but I have to give a shout-out and a huge thank-you to the staff at Longwood, especially Sara and her coworker (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name!). During an unexpected, stressful, and complicated family medical situation as smooth as possible and provided a safe haven as I spent the week between the hotel and Brigham and Women's. Kudos to the entire crew."

"I really love the hotel we just went for two nights and everything around was very practical and nice area but the only thing I have complaint is breakfast I know is complementary but if you would offer I list two things is better make sure it’s all the time fill the day we decide toke breakfast it was a really crazy we can get a bagel but they never bring more things to add just sliced of cheese the ham never arrive but other than that the place was nice!"

"This is an Inn in a great location if you are looking for somewhere close to the city center but with more of a neighborhood feel. It is on a lovely tree lined main avenue in Brookline with shops and restaurants all within a 7 to 10 minute walk. The green line T runs down the center of the avenue and so getting the T is really easy. The green line wasn't running during my stay and it was still convenient as free shuttle buses ran from Back Bay station and stopped literally right opposite the Inn's location. All I had to do was cross the street. My room was small on the 4th floor but perfectly comfortable for a weekend stay. It also did not have a bathroom attached but across the hall which is not for everyone but it was still private and just fine for me. When booking this was clearly stated and there are other rooms with private baths so if you are not up for a private bath across the hall, you can select another room. The continental breakfast was simple but fine. I would have liked there to have been an electric kettle for hot water at the breakfast and tea selections as I'm not a coffee drinker. Also, there is not really a shared common room downstairs so if one had children, that might be an issue for families. But for a solo traveler, it was a very pleasant place to spend one or two nights in Boston in a great neightborhood."
