There is a chance you will see herds of elk near the Dosewallips River, and the river itself is great fun. Nearby there are more places to explore, including a walk right on the Puget Sound shore of Hood Canal.

Between the boats docked on shore, a higher position of Polaris in the night sky, and the beautiful rolling evergreen hills, there are plenty of great subjects to capture!
