“Room is spacious. Layout is kind of goofy. They provide soft comfortable couch that looks at a locked door and sink. Not sure if TV pulls far enough off the wall to turn toward the couch but I didn’t want to test it.
No check in desk BUT through messaging they are super fast at responding
100% would stay there again
Very convenient to everything
4.99 stars. I wish I could have sat on the couch to watch TV.”
“The room was nicely remodeled and clean. From Expedia and the hotel I received too many messages, texts, emails and had to download various attachments just for an one night’ stay. After filling out and signing an online check in form, they then want you to download an app on your phone to get you access to the room. If not, you still have go to the other hotel’s check in counter to get the code. Room was fine, just had to turn off the loud air-con and open the windows sometime during the night....
“This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining.
The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside...
“Amenities are excellent. Front guard gate staff were very kind, helpful. Check in was easy. We had several issues in our room, brought them to the attention of the front desk 4 times throughout 2 days. Each time it appeared that we were bothering them with no action taken. Nothing was done prior to our checkout. They were t apologetic or attempted to quickly correct the concerns. The Fitness center evidently runs classes outside of guests. When I entered, was told they would be using most of...
“This is an older hotel but it is very well maintained. Has a quaint feel to it. I guess they used to serve breakfast at one time. Has an older fitness room but everything worked. Pool was nice. It had a nice outdoor porch.
Walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops, the park and lake. We walked to the Moses cone manor from downtown. Would stay again,”
“It was so quaint, the cabin was adorable. The flowers in the gardens were beautiful . Did not feel like a hotel today.
Only issue, the pillows were too big. I like soft and cuddly.”
“I would not recommend the mountainaire inn to anyone. The room #6 was musky dark and dingy and within minutes of being in there my voice was crackling from my allergies and the awful smell. Blinds didn’t pull down so you had wide open window on front porch area with no coverage.”
“The Inn is in serious need of updating. The outside and inside need cleaning and painting. The staff was friendly but because there are no amenities they just do office related things.
Positives- parking is right in front of your room and the Inn is close to Main Street.”
“Room was rustic in appearance, quaint and very clean. Overall bed was comfy but a little saggy in the middle. Bath was very clean and included H20 amenities and lots of fluffy towels. Nice hot shower. Great black out drapes. Enjoyed having the Keurig coffee maker in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed the private deck and chairs facing the forested area. We had a beautiful cloudless night and got to see so many stars. About 15-20 min walk to main street. Very convenient. We had seen some...
