We had a really lovely stay at Motsamai. It is such a beautiful, peaceful and quiet place, making it the perfect place to relax during our holiday in Bulawayo. ❤️ The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained, and the pool was a lovely place to unwind and relax after a busy day exploring. The chef and her team were absolutely top-notch. The food was excellent, and you could really see the care and effort that went into everything they prepared for us. The housekeeping team were also fantastic. They kept everything clean and comfortable throughout our stay, and they even took care of our laundry beautifully. It was such a helpful service while we were travelling. What stood out most was how attentive everyone was to our needs as guests. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and we always felt welcomed and well looked after. Motsamai gave us exactly what we wanted from part of our holiday — peace, comfort, beautiful surroundings, great food and genuine hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Thank you to the whole Motsamai team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. 🇿🇼❤️

Great place to stay in Bulawayo

We had a great time at Motsamai Lodge. It’s main attraction is the location and proximity to the city. You are only 5 minutes away from Bradfield Market and 10 minutes from downtown. The host were kind and the gateman would wash our car daily, it was part of the package.

The bedroom was nice (despite the broken shower door) and the rest of the property good as well. There was no restaurant dining or breakfast option, but we found some options in the area.

The shower wasnt functioning properly, mixing cold and hot water was a huge task, and there was no hot water in the last 2 days of my stay. I guess the issue of power needs a better back up plan to ensure the comfort of residents. Modernising the showers to a single mixer would be helpful to balance hit and cold water

Great stay, great staff

They stay was great. We had to wait a bit for our room to be ready at check in, the lady at reception was fine. The two gentleman at reception were very good, even helped us organize tours and excursions. Location good, about 45min walk to the center, but had to take a taxi after dark for safety. Room was very nice and clean, WiFi worked good.

Great price for a great space & impeccable service

One of my sisters stayed at Motsamai last year and she couldn’t stop raving about it. I discovered for myself that she wasn’t exaggerating her glowing reviews! It was super clean and comfortable, with a modern feel and serious bang for your buck. I really liked the double sink in the bathroom, as well as the general design of the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was perfect, and it didn’t take long for the water to heat up. I could have slept all day in that bed, with its warm blankets and plush pillows. The WiFi connection was really strong (something not to be taken for granted!). The kitchen staff graciously accommodated our request for breakfast, at a time when most hotels would have stopped serving that meal! We would have stayed longer if not for the lodge being booked out for the week for a conference! I highly recommend Motsamai, and hope to return someday!

We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the breakfast especially the mushroom. Thanks to sekuru he cooks delicious dishes. We just lacked some cooling in the room as there's no fan or air conditioning because sometimes it was really hot. Other than that everything was fantastic. We will surely come again.
