“Superb from start to finish. A huge grand building with Superb decor throughout. Lovely friendly staff. Clean fresh exceptionally well equipped bedrooms, all freshly and modernly decorated. There are beautifully kept grounds with ample outside seating. The Palace is perfectly located within Buxton, for all amenities, sightseeing, pubs, restaurants and cafés.
There is also ample parking at the hotel.

“Had two glorious nights in a deluxe room and decided to stay for a third. Third night room was a classic and felt very cramped. Son was in an attic room and said the same. But everything else about the rooms was great, and the staff were friendliness itself!”

Dog friendly, though you have to eat in a quirky little greenhouse. EV charging on site was handy.”

“I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included.
My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is.”
“The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. ”

The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The house is in a convenient location, only a minute or two's walk from the centre of the village.
