Shuttle bus takes 5 minutes to get to the marina but an Uber is less than 5 euros and arrive within minutes. Not much within walking distance, ‘pavement’ residential type affair, local Spar 10 minutes walk away but plenty shops in the centre of Vilamoura. "

If you decide to just stay in the hotel, you will love it but you will need a car to get around but the area is calm and the sound of the ocean is really breathtaking. Rooms were cleaned every day with an extra towel for pool/beach. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. The property is old and could use some updating, but it was clean and well cared for. The staff was accommodating - they even brought us complimentary champagne after noticing during check in that it was my husbands birthday. The onsite parking is free and convenient if you have a car. The surrounding area is quiet, and only a short walk to downtown Albufeira. The extra money for the beach front room was well worth it. We had the best view from our balcony and enjoyed the sound of the ocean. "

"We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and efficient, spacious clean rooms and communal areas, and a convenient location for nearby towns. It was a 15 minute walk to the beach. We were all inclusive and the food was varied, fresh, and really enjoyable. The pool did get a lot busier our last few days as the weekend and school holidays started. Last 2 days there were too many inflatables and ball games in the south pool, which had been quiet. But everything else was really great. "
