"Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was friendly. Good parking possibilities. The only negative was that they did not serve any food (except breakfast) and that the roof made a lot of noise when it was raining (there are some kind of plastic protection on the roof of the room which make the rain sound a lot, hard to sleep without earplugs). "We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on the other side of the lodge. Communication was fantastic with the staff and I really wish we had been able to enjoy the property during the day as it was beautiful and the pool was very inviting."

"Our stay at Samasati was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was so beautiful - we saw so much wildlife and loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof and waking up with the birds and monkeys. I love that it was removed from the fast pace of the road and beaches, but close enough to spend the day out and about. "

La Shamana Ecological, Concept in the Jungle

Super special place

"Amazing immersion experience in the jungle. The grounds and the 360 experience cabin were so beautiful. Included breakfast was super fresh and delicious each morning and we were able to get laundry service on site. The cabin has interior walls, full bathroom and functional kitchen with propane cooktop, fridge and cooking utensils. The exterior walls are mesh, with privacy curtains if you feel the need. The location is towards the edge of the property, and while you are close to everything, you never feel exposed. The wildlife is LOUD in the mornings, so awesome. Expect some bugs, small gecko's inside, but the beds are set up with mosquito nets as well. wifi in the cabin was a bit patchy, but strong in the peaceful common area close by."

"La atención del personal era buena y atenta, el desayuno era bueno. Vimos 3 problemas en las instalaciones, el principal problema era la cama que era de espuma extremadamente dura y delgada parecía como si estuviera acostado en el suelo, considero deberían invertir en un colchón que brinde algo de comodidad a los huéspedes para poder descansar ya que en mi opinión personal hubiera preferido dormir en mi vehículo antes de un colchón tan duro e incómodo El segundo problema era el mantenimiento de la piscina ya que se veía sucia y turbia el agua, hasta cucarachas vimos nadando en la piscina El tercer problema detectado es el no contar con un parqueo que brinde seguridad al vehículo y en la plataforma se menciona se cuenta con parqueo sin embargo el vehículo queda en la calle "
