Once in the lobby it is very impressive. It appears that the driving ramp to the lobby level is under renovation so one has to enter one floor below which is not impressive. Staff and services are high quality. We did not go to any of the restaurants in the hotel. Zaza restaurant across the street on the banks of the Nile had great food.

We stayed here on our honeymoon, and although it was our first day in Egypt, we had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and kind. When they learned that we were on our honeymoon, they surprised us by decorating our room with a cake and rose petals, which was incredibly thoughtful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were extremely satisfied with our stay. The view from the room was also amazing, and it became a memory we will cherish for a lifetime. Fairmont is located right across from the Nile. It has a small shopping mall attached to the hotel within which there is a 24 hour pharmacy. The hotel itself has several good quality restaurants and bars. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room service is outstanding.

Outstanding service and attention. Since the first moment they make us feel special as we were celebrating our anniversary. Central location and atention to details. The night show at the Bab El Nil is fantastic. Fawzy from concierge has great attention to details. I'll definitely choose this hotel as a go to when in the city.

Hotel is very good. Great food, pool on roof top with good views of Nile. Rooms were good size, well serviced. Area is a bit a dusty/dirty and crowded.
