"We had a nice stay, enjoyed the pool, views, balcony and breakfast for $12 was good. Really nice location with lots of choices for excellent restaurants within a mile radius. The hotel is a bit dated, frayed towels, bathroom needed maintenance and mirror needed a good cleaning. That said the Jr. suite had everything we needed for the week, so it worked for us."

"Fabulous property. Location is fantastic in quiet Ribeira Grande. Easy to get to all parts of Sao Miguel. My only advice is that if you come for the outdoor pool, it is very cold, and days with sun are elusive."

"The hotel felt very personal and almost like I was in a paradise. The staff was always friendly and helpful, no matter what we needed they were always able to accommodate. What I really enjoyed was the thermal pools, it made the entire hotel feel more in nature, additionally they were never stingy with their towels unlike some hotels that put a limit on you. Overall great location and amazing experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a paradise getaway. Looking forward to coming back next year!"

"Miguel at the bar was our main server and he was a big help. The meals at the restaurant were lovely - excellent view of the ocean. Food was great. Converting euros to CND$ makes it all feel quite expensive. But we felt overall that the value equation was there compared to other European destinations. Rooms were great, kept clean by cleaning staff. One recommendation is to invest in a larger TV for the Bar area. Watching the world cup on a 48 inch screen was somewhat comical. Great location as it was a short drive to Pont Delgado and the Santa Barbara Beach. Lovely stay. Want to return to the Azores soon."

"We stayed in an apartment for a week and was impressed with the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and enjoyed their evening meal offer too. Would recommend the hotel for a relaxing getaway destination on the island - but it is an hour from the airport."

"This resort and staff went above and beyond. When I tell you I was impressed I mean it! In addition to expected accommodations/amenities, they went out of their way to arrange a thoughtful, elegant, cliffside proposal dinner with a customized a-la-carte meal/wine for myself and my fiancé and had beautiful rose-pedal decor added to our suite timed perfectly after popping the question. Additionally, everyone on staff knew and treated us fondly with congratulations. They also were thoughtful with gestures for my birthday later in the trip with room service gestures. The place has plenty of parking, breathtaking views, peaceful serenity surrounding the pool, an isolated feel that remained plenty accessible to city and exploration. We felt at home and at peace the entire stay and they placed of friends down the hall from us for ease of access! Although there was no spa access here, they arranged reservations at nearby facilities for us to enjoy seamlessly on numerous days. Special thank you to Paula, Sonia, Marina, Milton, Ana Margarida, Ana Sofia, Joana and BOTH Alonsos. This was incredible. The views. The people. I give it my top recommendation"
