“Room was clean, basic, but had all that I needed. Bed was very comfortable but room was initially a little cool. Radiator was adjustable and it soon warmed up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu was varied, food well prepared and nicely presented. Typically pub food. Breakfast freshly cooked to order with good choice of cereals available. Bar well supplied and good, friendly service.”

“Lovely and very clean place. We were taken care by owner very well. Lovely lady ❤️”

“We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you.”

“Superb hearty breakfast, friendly hosts, within lovely well kept countryside setting, spotless room. What’s not to like about this place !”

“Everything we would expect from a hotel of this type. Clean, helpful staff, excellent dinner and breakfast, good beer, easy to park, windows that opened to let in freash air. Just great. Kedgeree for breakfast a particular delight. One slightly wobbly tap, that was it”

“Always Lovely staff happy to help and very clean hotel always look forward to my stays here”
