Cancun, Quintana Roo hotel rooms at the Independent

"There is a wonderful outdoor tropical feel to this resort. Lots of palm trees. The hallways and walkways throught are open air. Lots of little eateries for a quick bite plus restaurants. The chef grilling meat or fish to order was amazing. My fish and calamari were tender and delicious. The beach is short, the water gets deep fast and very rough you can't really go in. The hotel is oldish for my preference but the breezy outdoor effect was nice. "

But I will have to make a suggestion, the hotel needs some improvements in maintenance, and cleaning, specially the hallways, and some other areas in general like exterior walls , things like that.
