“Radiators in the room must have been for decoration, there was no heating on a freezing cold night, owners must have known this because on arrival we were handed a tiny fan heater, which made little difference in a big room. Toilet wasnt clean, bathroom light didnt work initially, towels weren't provided until I went to reception and asked for them, bed was uncomfortable. “This was an immaculately clean and comfortable stay. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant had a good choice and the chef clearly takes pride in his food- great quality and lots of choice. The breakfast included traditional ootions but also good quality food. We loved the location and would highly recommend the Queens for an overnight or longer stay. We also brought out dog and we were all made to feel very welcome. ”

Had dinner at the restaurant which unfortunately the service wasn’t great really slow & forgot one of our parties meal & drinks order (I would understand if it was super busy but it wasn’t) but they were friendly in general couldn’t fault that. “We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!”
