"This was a very nice hotel, well maintained. Great location at a reasonable price. Cool how it’s built into the side of a hill, yet they managed to have parking at each level. Loved the garden beside each door on our level. Very glad they have an elevator too, making it easier to get closer to ground level for walking to restaurants. I would definitely stay here again."

Our room was bright, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere after full days out. The bed was very comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to truly rest. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that was well prepared and satisfying, allowing us to start the day slowly and intentionally. The staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, always ready with recommendations and a warm smile. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the outdoor patio, where we spent time in the evenings sharing pizza, conversation, and simply unwinding. The hotel has a peaceful vibe that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Stilwell Hotel was the perfect base for our Carmel itinerary—close to scenic coastal drives, wine tastings, and charming walks through town. Most importantly, it provided a sense of calm and comfort that made our trip feel truly restorative. "Clean room, very nice and comfortable. Such friendly staff too! I am quite content to be here! We have an ocean view, but we arrived at night so I have yet to see what kind of ocean view it is. I’ve been in many ocean-view rooms, I hope this room does not disappoint when I check in the morning. "

"Absolutely perfect stay in the upgraded cabin. Insanely quiet but only 8 minutes to downtown and just a few minutes from lovely shopping centers. Staff was so great. Will always come back when we visit Carmel!"
