“Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms. Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me. I would definitely recommend.”

“The pub is a nice character place from the outside but inside needs some tlc. It's really a good locals boozer with rooms. Can be noisy both later on at night (I stayed on a Monday which seems to be student night). In the morning you get sound's of the city waking up, Garbage lorry at 5am. No breakfast either so don't expect it, but on the plus your right on the town for dining out etc. Wouldn't rule it out but might look elsewhere first. ”
