"The staff was very friendly and let us into the room about three hours early; which was very helpful due to the heat outside. They also accommodated us in a room at street level to make it easier to handle our bikes."

"Location couldn't be beat. Right on the main street in Avalon and easy to get to everything. Mostly quiet in the room. Multiple stairs to get to the rooms which could be a challenge with luggage. Staff was very kind and helpful with several requests. Check in was very easy. Breakfast was adequate, actually appreciated the small size fruit and pastries so there wasn't too much waste. Room was quite small and quite dated. Clean, but could use a bit of freshening up/remodeling. Toiletries were not imressive. Some wall hooks for towels given the small space would be helpful. Ceiling fan was much appreciated and lighting was decent. Overall moderate value, our friends stayed around the corner in a much nicer space for not much more than we paid."

Glenmore Plaza Hotel

"We were greeted by Denise. She welcomed us and made us feel comfortable right away. Our room was clean. It is an old hotel so we knew it would have some quirks but that was fine by us. The location is prime and they provided continental breakfast. Those things mattered to us. Our door latch did not have all the parts so could not be latched but there was a dead bolt below that. Our tub was very deep and hard to get in and out of even with the hand bar. Overall we would definitely stay here again. It is a historic hotel and we were glad we found it."

"The place was super clean, so comfortable I really enjoyed staying there with my wife. The bed was amazing, the shower was delightful. Truly would come back 10/10. I got the suite with the king bed, ocean view by the way."
