“Called and asked about accessibility, my wife is in a wheelchair, was told no problem you are on the ground floor with your own entrance. Got to property parking was in alley behind building, easily 75 to 100 ft down steep steps with no railings, not possible to get my wife down them. Talked with staff and basically told tough luck, no refund, no help to find other accommodations. Ended up having to book another room 20 miles away in Chambersburg. Yeah I would really “recommend “ this place.”

“The breakfast menu was awesome. Amanda is an amazing cook ! I stayed at the Amberson House for 3 nights and was very happy about my experience there. The house its self is a beatiful old home and funished beautifully wth antiques . Everone was very welcoming and friendly. ”

“Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better.”

“This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. It is modern and clean however, with modern comforts like new outlets on each side of the bed and at both vanities in the bathroom. The staff were incredible. “I came in before dark - difficult day of traveling and very hungry. The owners were out, but a guest who stays there many times showed me around and introduced me to the other guests in the living room. I was so impressed with the decor and cozy environment.
