“Many things were not acceptable in regards to our room. The windows did not open fully due to the curtains blocking them and it was stifling hot. and when we tried to manipulate them, we were afraid they would break.
The daily housekeeping was unacceptable - coffee cups were left dirty in the room, the bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned at all, and in the bathroom the windows did not shut properly. The water from the shower went all over the floor. In the middle of our stay, we found a...

“Lovely spot, staff excellent, homemade, organic and locally sourced breakfast. Lacked an evening restaurant and options in Chinon in October were a little limited as off season.
Great location to explore Chinon wines and Cremant near Saumur.
Fontevraud-l’Abbaye was an interesting place to visit.”
