“As an American traveler, I realize my expectations are different from local standards, so I'm rating this property with that in mind. By the standards I'm accustomed to in the United States, I would have rated this property 1 star. However, recognizing that expectations and accommodations may differ in Chile, I'm giving it 3 stars. I'm genuinely trying to be fair and take those differences into account, even though, for me, this was not a particularly pleasant experience.
