“We unfortunately could not stay in the hotel due to change of plan at last minute, but the hotel staff got in touch with us to make sure we would be only charged for a single night which was much appreciated. ”

“Lots of thoughtful touches. Well appointed room, jasmine tea leaves with a tea service in the room. Extensive personal breakfast, with good coffee and choice of Western or Chinese option. Great location in the middle of ancient city - everything is happening outside your doors and yet peaceful courtyard. Free Pickup and drop off from train station was a nice service with courteous attention. Overall well run hotel and well appointed. Parting gift of intricately paper cut motifs.’”

“This is a lovely guest house inside the Pingyao ancient city walls. It is convenient walking distance to major streets with attractions and restaurants, but still quiet and peaceful. Room and garden were very nice. Staff were wonderful. I was offered western breakfast which was fine, but wish I had known I could pick a local version.”

“Beautifully designed, charming hotel in the middle of ancient town. Staff were very polite & helpful. Special thanks to Leo & Nancy who made our stay very comfortable. Also the dynamic Manager Crystal who supported with all the necessary arrangements. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to explore the area.”

“The hotel is in an unbeatable location. The room was very nice, although the air conditioning unit’s mounting bracket could use some fixing. The bathroom was fine. The highlights were the wonderful woman who runs the place and the hotel’s charming, traditional style, which has been very well maintained. The street it’s on is fantastic, and this town was my favourite of the 15 places I visited during my trip to China.”

“The staffs of Yide Hotel were very kind and helpful. The breakfast of both Chinese and Western style were so delicious that we decided to eat at the hotel for our last dinner. Overall, our stay at Yide Hotel was a wonderful experience that will be remembered for many years.”

“The area was generally very dirty. The entrance to the hotel was being used as a shop for Chinese girls to get dressed up and having makeup. Hence it was as you were entering a small fitting room. The staff could hardly understand a word of english, while we had to ask for very standard supplys such as toilet roles to be provided to the room.”
