No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Arbaz vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, important documents, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between air carriers, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes knives, scissors, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like golf clubs, and objects that could harm passengers, such as swords and guns, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your feet and legs moving.
