If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a stress-free start to your vacation in Jenaz. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and pack a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- It's likely you've heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. There are plenty of ways to lower your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression socks, drink plenty of water and move your legs and feet. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
