Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will get your Kalivia vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be the goal when selecting what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen feet are a common occurrence. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are always a good idea.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Doing leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks is also a wise idea.
