Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to La Rotta could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an amazing travel experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, boarding pass, credit cards and daily medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic gadgets or a good book. It's also wise to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Last but not least, be sure to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
