We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and enjoying Mani in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Next, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
