If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be daunting. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a hassle-free start to your getaway in Pavillion. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
