No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Realp vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, fireworks and fuel. Sporting equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could harm other people, such as pepper spray and firearms, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
