Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Resolven could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good book. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Don comfortable layers and don't forget to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-haul flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another simple way to help reduce this risk.
