If you're not prepared, traveling can be overwhelming. But there's no need to panic. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a worry-free start to your time in Samotovin. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no fashion runway. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and bring a sweater as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help lower your risk.
