If you're not prepared, traveling can be daunting. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a hassle-free start to your time in Schechen. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel docs, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some great options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen feet are a common side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are your best bet.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. The good news is there are ways to reduce your risk of developing it. Keep your fluids up, walk up and down the aisles whenever possible and wear compression tights or socks.
