We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be zooming through airport security and enjoying Stola in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, official ID, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a sweater as it can get chilly inside the cabin. Closed-toed, flat shoes are also recommended.
- Most of us have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There are numerous ways to minimize your risk. Wear compression tights or socks, drink plenty of water and move your legs and feet. Walk the aisles of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
