Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Terek vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an amazing flight experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, travel documents, credit cards and medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help while away those hours, like your laptop or a magazine. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. And of course, don't forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a cardigan as it tends to get cool in the cabin. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a wise idea.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. The good news is there are ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Drink plenty of water, wander through the cabin as much as you can and wear compression tights or socks.
