If you're not prepared, traveling can be challenging. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a hassle-free start to your time in Urama. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you've got all the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
