If you're not prepared, air travel can be overwhelming. But there's no need to panic. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a worry-free start to your vacation in Fernando de Noronha. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you take the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
