Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Voľa vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, travel documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are always good options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
