We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and enjoying Wohld before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, important documents, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice carefully too, as swollen feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help lower your risk.
