No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've compiled a list of top travel tips that will help get your Zakros escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
