Good stay at B2 Suthep Nightmarket. We ended up booking this hotel as our second hotel in Chiang Mai due to a change of plans and our main priority was to be in a different area, other than the old city and closer to some outdoor activities, with a pool.
The pros:
For the price we paid, this hotel was a good option. The beds were hard but comfortable and very clean, the site is quite nice with a big pool and the location is really nice, walking distance from the Night Market right by the Chiang Mai University (10mins), from the very hip Nimman neighborhood (30mins) and from Doi Suthep hikes. Lots of great cheap local and Asian food options nearby.
The cons:
The rooms would definitely need a good update and coat of fresh uniform paint on the walls. The walls had patches of different paint on the walls, the shower was quite run down and a bit moldy and the bathroom furniture was very outdated. There were ants on the bathroom floor. You could hear everything happening outside of your room due to poor soundproofing from the doors but we sleep with earplugs so that did not prevent us from getting a good night of sleep. Finally, the pool served its refreshing purpose but it was not very well kept, lots of leaves, broken ceramic on the steps and a cold jacuzzi.
Overall, a good stay in a different area of Chiang Mai if you’re looking for a good but nice budget option.
In genteel decline, but still a very pleasant hotel.

The cleaning staff did their best, however the room and hotel are incredible run down. Many items and structure was damaged in our room. Permanent dirty walls cabinets desks etc were broken and filthy. Closed up exercise space and dining area locked up with remains of previous owner. Astro turf around pool was soaked wither ground seepage. Most decorative pools drained around pool. Disappointed
The hotel was lovely, room spacious and we had the pool to ourselves. Unfortunately we had a change of travel plans so had to cut our stay short - but it was a great stay.
I stayed there for 2 nights with my friends. It was so memorable. We really enjoyed the stays even though we had to carry our heavy as luggages to the first floor by stairs, but it was a really good experience. 2 nights, millions of memories. The bathrooms are huge, the beds are comfy. We already left Chiang mai, but B2 Suthep is still the name that we would talk about when talking about Chiang Mai.
The hotel is nice, lovely grounds...but the story is the reception staff...very kind, very gracious, very efficient...delightful.

Lovely place that need to be refurbished
This was our 4th visit and it is a lovely place. However, it starts to fall apart as the owners has completely neglected to maintain it, it needs a complete refurbishment. A place like this also need a breakfast facility.
Beautiful resort, very friendly staff, little too remote if you don’t have a scooter, but then the place is more quiet than the average place in the area.
All in all, loved my stay.

Pros - the pool and the size of the room.
Cons - the antique cupboard is beautiful but not functional. E.g. you can’t watch the TV unless standing right in front of it. The room was not cleaned for 2 days and the garbage ended up attacking a colony of ants.
Nice staff, tropical setting, nice pool area. Room very spacious. Only issue was the small cafe restaurant was closed during the time of our stay and there was nothing else within a 10 minute walk. But overall was enjoyable and Id stay again.
A very nice intimate hotel 5 km from the city center. Bars and shops within walking distance. Quiet, clean hotel, with very nice staff, and an overall nice layout of the hotel. Spacious, comfortable room with a large bathroom. Safe, fridge, tv, nice extras like bathrobes or slippers. You can relax in your room or cool off in the small swimming pool. Nice greenery.
Unless you want to get a taxi you are missing the chaing mai experience of the old town …too far to walk…a few places to walk to but it’s not convenient
This is first time that I travel alone. I booked this hotel because it not far from Chaingmai university just 5-6 mins walk from hotel . This area in night time have many street food cheap price ,have many variety of food .you can choose also some restaurent to sit which not much expensive. Hotel Staff are nice and warm welcome. When I arrived at hotel they have welcome drink serve with cold towel. Room is nice and clean . In the room have full aminities set up like 5 star hotel. Breakfast are mixed with asian and western style it 's very delicious. Unfortunately I booked here only 1 night. if i have a chance to come back again I booked this hotel. You not need to believe me just come and try to stay here.
