Everything was great - except the breakfast

Room, accommodation, service, helpfulness all very good. Only disappointment was the breakfast. We didn't have breakfast included in our booking, as we knew we wanted to eat out for breakfast at places we liked. But one morning we needed to eat breakfast at Mountain View - very disappointed. The muesli with yogurt and fruit was cut up fruit, with a small dollop of yogurt and a "garnish" of muesli. We didn't bother eating anything else there! The room was very nice - spacious, and newly refurbished. Bathroom was clean, spacious. Bed was comfortable. Good, fast wifi in the room. Good location - very easy for local transport, easy to walk to shopping malls, old city, etc. Sufficient free parking if you had a motorbike (as we did) or even a car. The guest house allowed us keep our luggage in a locked room for free for 3 days after checking out while we made a side trip to Mandalay - very kind of them. Very good value - would highly recommend this place for staying.......but I'm not recommending the breakfast!

Beautiful Wooden Hotel at North Gate

Situated at the North Gate inside the wall, super easy access, free parking. Room with balcony, view of hotel garden. Little pity & less privacy that need to share the balcony deck with the room next door. Modern room setting with touch of lovely traditional Thai rattan/wooden deco & furnitures. Quiet & cool air-con with comfy bed & pillows. Stable warm shower with well drainage. Friendly & helpful staff.

Guest house pratique comme point de chute.

Petite guest house sans prétention. Quand nous sommes venus une partie du jardin était en travaux pour agrandir l'hôtel. Mais nous avons pu trouver une chambre plutôt au calme. Le personnel est tres sympathique, le petit dej en supplement de la chambre est bon, on peut le prendre dans le "jardin" ombragé assez agréable. La situation de l'hôtel est très pratique pour prendre les songthew et les tuk tuk mais du coup tres proche de la route.
