Wonderful experience in this amazing hotel. To the points that matter the most: room was very comfortable (including very nice bed and excellent shower pressure); breakfast with great variety and good quality; staff very polite and helpful; check in and check out very fast and efficient. The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The views are amazing and the hotel is something out of a good movie. The staff were terrific. We went on a guided one hour torch nature walk that the hotel puts on Friday night. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Rustic elegance with magnificent vistas. Great hiking trails as well as a spectacular spa with indoor and outdoor lounge areas as well as an outside sauna - swim suits unnecessary. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating- thank you, Samar.

Amazing staff, very friendly and family owned hotel!! Because it’s family owned, it has working hours. BE SURE TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 3PM - 7:59PM (5 hour window). There will be nobody there after hours, and if you’re arrive late, you have to give them a heads up a few hours ahead. I have stayed at the Goldener Hirsch for the past 30 years The hotel and its staff never fail. Charming and comfortable, it is located in the midst of an active tourist area but absolutely quiet inside and completely safe outside. The staff listen carefully and exceed every request. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salzburg.

I thought I was booking an inexpensive hotel conveniently located near the highway. This place far exceeded my expectations: this hotel could be a destination in itself. The swimming pools (in and out), the grounds, the decor (handcrafted, unusual furniture).....and the breakfast! Fabulous.
