"It is so hard to write a review about this hotel. It is so convenient to the Birmingham Shuttlesworth airport. The staff are 100% amazing and wonderful. The Deep South breakfast buffet is cooked by a kitchen genius (I wish I knew the gentleman’s name. He is a wizard!). All of these positive human attributes are taking place in a property that is increasingly decrepit, dirty, smelly, and uncomfortable. To the owners : IT IS TIME TO RENOVATE ! PLEASE!!"

"We had bad experience with an Airbnb and came straight to the Redmont where Ben was so very nice to help! We loved our stay and will definitely be back! Everyone was very friendly and always smiling! "

"The room was nice but the windows are so thin you can hear everything outside, do not stay in room 939, we barely slept during our 3 night stay. There was also 1 elevator working so getting downstairs from the 9th floor took a ridiculously long time. We would not stay again. "

"The first room I was given, you didn't need a key just walk in. when I explained to the front desk. "We never had an issue with it." second room I had to spend 5 minutes to get in every time. key would only work the lock sometimes. you couldn't hear the tv when the A/c came on. The shower head came to my chin. I am 5'10. so you had to bend over to rinse off. the restaurant was closed. and broken bottles in the parking lot. I would not recomend. But , It is only 5 mins to the airport. "

"Due to road closures we were unable to get to the hotel valet parking. Tried to call the hotel 3 times to find out how they preferred us to get to the hotel. No one would answer the phone. We were able to get to the Sheraton and ask for directions. The staff at the Sheraton were awesome. They told us where to go. A valet for the Westin was suppose to meet us at the entrance of the parking garage but never showed so we drove around the parking structure until we saw the entrance to the Westin. We parked and tried to get into the Westin from the parking garage but needed a key card. Since we hadn't checked in yet we didn't have one. So pressed the secutiry help button 4 times with no answer. So went to some elevators in the parking structure and found a very nice man who was a security guard for the city parking structure and he walked us to the entrance of the Westin. Once there, the valet never tried to assist us getting in and after waiting the front desk attendent finally help us and a few other customers in. Our flight landed at 11:30pm and we (family with ypung kids) were walking the downtown streets of Birmingham around midnight trying to get into the hotel. There were groups of yougs kids all over. Very thankful the nice security guard walked us to the hotel. Hotel staff were no assistance at all. Horrible experience. "

"It wasn’t worth the price. Needed new light bulbs in bedroom, coffee maker didn’t work, and seems like no one had checked that room or stayed in there in a while. I was really disappointed. I used to be in the hospitality industry and would have been reprimanded for this review. You can do better at this price!"
