"We had an excellent stay. All of the staff we spoke to were super friendly and polite. The room was lovely, and the staff had gone to the extra effort to decorate for my partners birthday, which was a really nice surprise for him. We enjoyed using the spa, the bar and the breakfast buffet. It was a perfect base for exploring the local area, and somewhere we could come back and relax in the evenings. All for a very reasonable rate, would stay again. "

"Great hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Small things make all the difference and the experience was consistent all through the hotel. From a personable arrival at reception, giving me all the relevant info (last orders, gym opening times etc), friendly gym staff and great customer service and meal in the restaurant. I forgot my tooth paste and the lovely lady at the desk (apologies didn’t get name) gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste. I also didn’t know how to find the gym and she walked me there. Really made me feel valued as a guest. So much so, I enquired about the cost of the conference room for the day as hold quarterly business meetings with a small uk team who stay over the night before and have a full day meeting. I’ll be putting this hotel forwards as a suggestion for a future meeting. I work in sales and so stay in a lot of hotels weekly, all over the Uk. This is the first time staying here and is already in my top 5 hotels. Particularly love the gym and pool facilities which is what often draws me to picking hotels. Thanks Marriot Preston team! "Rooms were very clean , all staff really smartly dressed and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast we payed for and were very pleased with , it had all that we needed (sausage , bacon, egg , hash brown, beans etc )and juice , coffee and im sure if you looked (which i didn't) there were vegetarian and vegan options also. We visited the spa while there and was very impressed with the amenities and also we had massages ...excellant we thought ."

"First time staying at this hotel. We booked for an anniversary weekend for 3 nights. Staff are so friendly and courteous, from reception to the bar and the spa area. The foyer as you walk in is so beautiful, with the hanging lights and grandeur. It’s kept very clean and tidy every day. There’s a bar area up the steps from foyer where you’ll find comfy sofas and big chairs to lounge in, this was such a nice area to sit and have pre-drinks before heading to the restaurant for evening meal. During the day you can sit with a good book and enjoy the comings and goings of the hotel. There is soft music playing all the time which just adds to the ambience. We had such a lovely relaxing break. Spa We booked the couples day at the spa which included massage, Thermal spa experience and afternoon tea - this was sublime. Definitely recommend doing this if you can. Afternoon tea, especially, was a lovely treat and so tasty. Special thanks to Beth, on spa reception who went above and beyond for us during our time at the spa. There were a few hiccups but all dealt with promptly and professionally. The rooms We booked a superior room, was really lovely with the addition of small table and armchair to the side of the bed. Overall, we had such a lovely few days and big thanks to all the members of staff who served with a smile and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing stay with spa and treatments. Thank you "
